SNEE: Nature at Work
Ask yourself, how do you feel when you’ve taken a walk, listened to the rustle of the trees or noticed a bird or squirrel out of your window?
We’re working with the RSPB to investigate whether their innovative nature-based prescribing model could make a difference to the wellbeing of office-based workers (meaning all of us!).
We want to test the concept that connecting with nature can help us feel better in a world full of deadlines, stress and back-to-back meetings.
Please join us in this national pilot project. By taking part, you could boost your own health and wellbeing. Your findings could also help us to discover how to support millions of people nationwide in the future.

Mighty Migration Challenge
Join us for the Mighty Migration Challenge!
Just as many birds begin their migration back to the UK to enjoy our warmer weather, the Nature at Work Group invites you to join them in embarking upon our own migration challenge of 6,000 miles – the distance of a migrating Swallow – by walking, wheeling or moving by any self-powered means during our lunchtime and spare time walks, wheels, and runs.
Fact: A migrating Swallow flies around 200 miles per day – awesome for a little bird that weighs less than 25g (or the weight of three cherry tomatoes!)
While we don’t expect to do that much a day, we would love you to join us and help clock up the mileage by tracking on Strava or an equivalent mileage tracker. Click on the picture below to log your mileage with us.
How long will it take? It depends on how many of you join in!
Feel free to share pics of any nature experiences while taking part, and be sure to look out for your first swallow.
