Dear participant,
You are invited to take part in an evaluation study exploring experiences of co‑producing the principles for future NHS community services in Suffolk. You have been invited because you are a member of the Suffolk Community Services Insight & Oversight (I&O) Group or an NHS colleague involved in commissioning community services.
Before you decide whether to take part, it is important that you understand why the study is being carried out and what your participation would involve. Please take time to read this information carefully. You can ask questions at any point before deciding whether to take part. If there is anything that is not clear, or you have any questions, please contact us (see below, ‘Who do I contact for more information?’)
What is the purpose of the evaluation and why have I been invited?
Between October 2025 and April 2026, the Suffolk Community Services I&O Group worked in partnership with the Suffolk and North East Essex Integrated Care Board (now Norfolk and Suffolk ICB) to co‑produce principles that will underpin community service contracts delivered from 2027–2037.
This evaluation aims to:
- explore how participants experienced the co‑production process;
- understand perceptions of inclusivity, accessibility, partnership working and power‑sharing;
- examine how co‑produced insights influenced commissioning decisions;
- identify enablers and barriers to meaningful co‑production in large‑scale system change.
The learning from this evaluation will inform future co‑production approaches within integrated care systems and contribute to the evidence base for meaningful involvement.
